Drupal Modules

Recently I upgraded to Drupal 6.6 Anytime I upgrade Drupal, I need to reinstall the modules all over again. This is really a pain. I wished that all the modules would come forward automatically until the version changes, not the revision. E.g. 6.6 to 6.7 should keep the modules I have already applied. Not so when I upgrade from 6.7 to 7.0 as the modules may not be compatible. Such an ability may already exist in cPanel, but at least I do not know about it. So what I do is to maintain a list of modules that I use or I like and plan to use in future.
